„IMAGE+ Platform for Open Art Education“ ist eine österreichische Bild- und Bildforschungsplattform zur Verbesserung der Qualität der Lehre. IMAGE+ bietet einen umfassenden Bestand an hochwertigen digitalen Bildreproduktionen künstlerischer Arbeiten. Die Abbildungen in IMAGE+ sind mit hochwertigen Metadaten angereichert, die Werkinformationen wissenschaftlich gesichert. IMAGE+ steht Lehrenden und Studierenden an den teilnehmenden Universitäten und Forschungseinrichtungen zur Verfügung, Künstler*innen und Absolvent*innen der Kunstpädagogik können die Datenbank für ihre tägliche Arbeit verwenden und sich laufend fortbilden. Das Projekt ist an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien verankert. In Kooperation mit der Universität für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung Linz, der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg sowie der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften (ÖAW) und der Dokumentationsplattform österreichischer Kunst basis wien.
IMAGE+ Platform for Open Art Education: Strategies for an independent infrastructure of research & teaching
„IMAGE+ Platform for Open Art Education“ is an Austrian image and image research platform dedicated to the enhancement of teaching. IMAGE+ offers a comprehensive repository of high-quality digital image reproductions of artistic works. The images are enriched with high-quality metadata; scientifically validated information about the artworks is provided. IMAGE+ is available for teachers and students at participating universities and research institutions. Furthermore, artists and art education graduates may use the database for their daily work and ongoing training. The project is anchored at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and is realized in cooperation with the University of Art and Design Linz, University Mozarteum Salzburg, Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), and the documentation platform of Austrian art basis wien.
